In the Oireachtas Finance Committee, I asked Philip Lane, Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland if they are a bank for Dublin or for the whole of the State, particularly as there are many rural areas with huge unemployment and continuing emigration. My concerns that Central Bank activities are feeding into the Government’s urban centric policies were, unfortunately, verified.
