The balancing act of being funded by the government and trying to drive progressive action for The West continues to challenge the Western Development Commission.
I support the mission of the WDC, but we must have game changing actions for Rural Ireland to realise its full potential. The economic and social development of the country as a whole is dependent on equality of investment for Rural Ireland. The days of ‘tweaking at the edges’ must end.
