It’s not today or yesterday that farmers were let down by governments. Injustices and unfairness within the beef sector have been allowed to continue and been facilitated by successive governments. Unfairness in pricing and the undermining of farmers, particularly in the West of Ireland, has got to stop.
I support the farming organisations that have stood up and said ‘enough is enough’ leading towards a commitment to set up and independent regulator.
