COVID 19 cannot be used as a cover to shut down rural health services and close district hospitals. The nonsensical practice of refusing referrals from GPs to Belmullet Hospital has to stop. X-Ray, chiropody, physiotherapy and eye clinics must be fully functioning in Erris. Respite for family carers is beyond essential at this stage. We need fairness, honesty and transparency.
