Unbecoming Taoiseach Tirade

Yesterday, during Taoiseach Questions, I asked why there was no mention of a United Ireland in the 1,900 words of the Shared Island Unit section of the Programme for Government.

I thought this was a reasonable question to ask of the Leader of Fianna Fáil and I pointed out that Irish Unity was important to many of his Party’s grassroots lifelong supporters.

His tirade of abuse and personal attack that followed was, I believe, unbecoming of a Taoiseach. His palpable hatred of Sinn Féin and the hundreds of thousands of people who vote for Sinn Féin Ireland is concerning.
