Small schools especially in rural areas are under severe financial pressure. Late payment of Minor Works Grants is unacceptable and leads to even further pressure on principals and staff. I have asked the Government to examine the overall model of funding for smaller schools to ensure that they remain viable and vibrant parts of our rural communities.
