People in the West of Ireland are entitled to the same access to banking services as in Dublin. Today, I told Richie Boucher, CEO of Bank of Ireland, that people can’t use online services if there is no broadband or mobile coverage. The social exclusion of rural Ireland has to be recognised and fixed.
